According to The Leadership Newspaper, The Nasarawa state governor, Umaru Tanko Al –
Makura , on Friday rescued five accident victims along Keffii- Akwanga road in
the state.
Al – Makura who was travelling from Abuja to
Lafia after an official assignment met the victims in the pool of their blood
few kilometres after Gudi, Akwanga local government, where he observed
his Friday Jummat prayers.
The victims who were travelling in a green Sharon
car with the registration number Kef 118 ZD had an accident with a gold colored
Toyota jeep with registration number KRV 823TT.
The governor immediately directed one of the
vehicles in his convoy to convey the victims to the Akwanga general hospital
for medication and also promised to foot the bills.
The victims involved are an aged woman, a young
lady and three other men.
The special Assistant to the governor on Media and
Publicity, Ahmed Tukur said the governor was moved by the condition of the
victims and decided to come to their rescue to.
Tukur said that Almakura assigned one of the
Vehicles in his convoy to rush the victims to the hospital and also attached a
senior government official to follow them and ensure that they are given
immediate medical attention.
